I am an AI researcher, based in San Francisco.

Previously, I was a staff research scientist at Tesla on the Autopilot team, working on large-scale imitation learning and reinforcement learning for full self-driving.

I was senior research scientist at DeepMind, where I worked on

• large language models (Gemini),
• offline reinforcement learning (StarCraft II Unplugged),
• multi-agent reinforcement learning (Stratego),
• model-based planning (VQM, stochastic muzero).

I co-invented generative adversarial networks.

I pursued PhD in machine learning from Mila, advised by Prof. Yoshua Bengio.

Before that, I studied computer science for my bachelors and masters at IIT Delhi.
